Sweet Pea's Headband

http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.ca/2010/08/easy-stretchy-baby-headband-tutorial.html

Above is the tutorial for making these little headbands.
They are super easy to make.
And I think they are adorable altho I'm not sure Miles is too thrilled it.

Thanks for your visit.

Tea Cup

Just back from our walk (Deb's http://justcats-deb.blogspot.ca and mine).
We walk for an hour 3 times a week.
Not bad eh?
Last week she and her hubby went to an auction and she picked up a "few" teacups.
She said she had one that reminded her of me.

Isn't it great to have such thoughtful friends?
Thanks Deb!
See you Friday.

Thanks for your visit.

Ants in my Pants

There was a lot of sleeping yesterday.
It was a rainy cold day and I guess that is what you do when you are a pussy cat.
Unforunately Addy had too much I think and decided to be up most of the night.
She found a pom pom that she loves to play with and yes played with it most of the night.
I tried finding the thing numerous times to no avail.
Why did I find this wet disgusting thing on the bathroom floor this morning?

So it will be a bit slow today.
Grocery shopping, a bit of ironing, yes some knitting.
A skype with the Peas.
They had a rough day yesterday but sounds like it it was a better night.

Cowboys and Pizza

A nice start to a Saturday morning.
Rainy morning.
Slept in a bit.
A western and a
bit of knitting.

Maybe some laundry.
And a bit of domesticity.
Then making some pizza and settling in for more hockey playoffs.

Hope you are having a superb Saturday.

Thanks for visiting.

For my Sweet Pea

A quick lil headband made from the leg of a pair of little girl tights and a flower pin.
I have sent them (yes I made another one with purple tights) off to Camrose.
If they are well received I will make a couple more and will post the directions.

My Killers

Poor lil butterfly came in on the clothes this evening.
Lucky pounced on it immediately.
I believe Addy was doing the colour commentating.
Anyway!
 And after much chomping --
well the poor wee thing didn't have a chance!

Too bad they weren't as interested when a mouse is discovered in the basement.

Peppy says thanks Tim

My car is a wee bit happier tonight.
Those heavy winter tires have been taken off and those lovely smooth summers are on.
He has new oil and filter and his air filter has been changed.
I am almost certain I heard him say "thank you zaza" when I started him to bring him home.

A walk with Deb tomorrow.
 Fish and chips tomorrow night?
Tulips, iris and daffs blooming in the garden.
Pics to follow.
Shipping off another parcel to the Peas.

Thanks for visiting.

Just Me

Is it just me

Wishing you all a Spectacular Sunday

A cloudy day here.
Spending the day doing some cleaning.
That will be it for the week because my HB is spending the next 10 days in Korea.
Of course there will be a bit of knitting too.
What is a day without knitting.
I am doing a "keep busy" project  with the leftover sock wool from the Peas socks ---
fingerless gloves!

I started cleaning the basement this morning.
I am thinking my inner hoarder lives down there.
A little each day.

Thursday with my HB and Presqu'ile

Spent the day at Presqu'ile Park yesterday.
Lots of walking and standing.
I always enjoy the park and there are lots of places to take pics.
It was a bit chilly but occasionally the sun would break through and it was fantastic!

It always makes me angry knowing that areas make it appealing to wildlife and birds.
There are sections fenced in telling people to not disturb the nesting shore birds and yet .....
the park is open to hunting

I was excited to get this pic.
I have seen pictures in magazines of displaying swans but never experienced it myself.
I won't bore you with the umpteen other pics of this I took.

The long spit out to Gull Island

One of the fenced in areas for nesting.

 Lots of washed up shells.

 Pussy Willows

Daffs just popping up along the trails.
I have been told the "wild " flowers we see are probably remnants of pioneer homes.

 Lighthouse at the Point

Iain loading up the car after our day

 Mallard and Milady

Osprey sitting on her nest

Being serenaded by a lovely little song sparrow.

My Easter Weekend

I spent the weekend solo.

HB golfing .
My oldest, Holly and family in Camrose and
my youngest Siobhan visiting her (a BD gift from her Pa and me)
It was OK!
Weather was fabulous and I got a lot of yard cleanup done
altho the shed is pretty stuffed and with a bum elbow

I couldn't get it all out by myself.
It felt so good to be outside doing something.

After I was done I sat on the patio and
soaked up the wonderful early spring sunshine.

HB and I are heading to Presqu'ile Park on Thursday.
He is on the "hunt" for shore birds and I am "hunting" with my camera.
Promises to be a lovely day!
